Dan Nix
Dan has been the girls J.V. soccer coach for Mosley High School for the 2007-08 season. The J.V. team had a record of 14-0 in the regular season and earned the title of County and District champions for the J.V. program. He coached with the Bay County Youth Soccer Association for ten years and 5 of his teams have won championships and several have earned runner up medals.
Dan coached middle school soccer from 2003 through 2006 at Covenant Christian School. He is a certified referee and has served on the Bay County Youth Soccer Association Board. Dan graduated from Troy State University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Accounting.
Dan works at Florida State University Panama City as the Director of Finance and Administration and has two daughters in the club on the U11 and U16 teams.
Juan Goicoechea
Born in Ataun,Guipuzcoa, Spain, Coach Juan was instrumental as a co-founder of what was originally the Panama City Lady Sharks and which later became Bay United Soccer Club.
Coach Juan holds a USSF "C" National license.He has coached soccer since 1990 beginning with Bay Girls Soccer, then BSI and later Bay United.Coach Juan also was the Mosley Girls JV assistant coach during the 1994-1996 seasons.
Juan has beenmarried to wife Tessie for 32 years and has three children Jon (deceased), Maite Mahoney and Miren Gregory.
Maite Mahoney
Coach Maite is a former Bay United Lady Shark who used the skills and
knowledge that she obtained from the
club to move on an play college soccer. Maite played three years for Troy State University, breaking numerous records during her time there.
Maite has been coaching Bay United teams for the past six years and many of her teams have won championship and finalist awards. She also was the Mosley Girls JV coach from 1994-1996.
Maite is currently a student at FSU/PC pursuing her degree in History and
is married husband Terry Mahoney.
Gary Hindley
Coach Gary Hindley, joins the Bay United coaching staff, after five very
successful years as the Director of Coaching for the Knoxville Football Club, in Knoxville, TN. During that period, he took KFC from 4 teams and 60 players, to 59 teams and over 600 players, They also won 14 TN State Championships during
that period. Before that stint, he played and coached at the professional level
in both the US and Canada for 23 seasons.
Gary holds a USSF "B" license and
currently serves on the FL Youth Soccer Assn State coaching staff, with both the
ODP and Coaching School programs. He has on 5 different occasions, been honored
as a pro and college level Coach of the Year selectee and is currently, the
third winningest American- born coach in the US professional ranks. In his first season with BUSC, he will initiate the Clubs new
ACADEMY training program ( for 5-9 years olds) and serve as the Club's
Goalkeeper instructor, the position he played both collegiately and
professionally. |
